Koh Chang is a thriving community and it's economy is almost entirely based on tourism and tourist related support industries. It has changed drastically in the last ten years, moving from subsistance fishing and farming to a more cosmopolitan economic infrastructure. |

Koh Chang Marine National Park is comprised of 51 large and small islands. The archipelago is located approximately 8km from the mainland, close to the Cambodian border. |

To get to Koh Chang, you need to travel to the south-east of Thailand towards Trat, the nearest major town to the islands. However, visitors who are already in Pattaya, Rayong or Koh Samet can conveniently get to Trat as well, either by road or sea. |
